Two people are dead after a plane crash in New York State.

WIVB reports that a small engine, a Socata TBM 700, crashed in the woods of Corfu near Pembroke, New York on Friday. A Genesee County sheriff's assistant found the plane flying from New Hampshire to Buffalo.

The Genesee County sheriff's office said two people were on board: a man and a woman. None survived.

A source told WIVB that the plane is owned by Cellino & Barnes personal injury attorney Steve Barnes. Barnes is a certified pilot.

A source told The Buffalo News that Barnes flew the plane and the passenger was a family member. Two sources confirmed to the WGRZ that Barnes was the pilot on the plane.

The police have not confirmed the names of the victims.

WIVB reports that the FAA database shows the aircraft is registered at an address that matches the Cellino and Barnes office on Main Street.

Stephen Barnes and Ross Cellino Jr. ran a law firm in West New York with offices in New York and California for nearly three decades. Her jingle, "Don't Wait, Call 8", was known throughout New York State.

Cellino & Barnes officially separated earlier this year, forming two separate law firms: Cellino Law and The Barnes Firm. Cellino & Barnes had offices in Buffalo, Rochester, New York City and the Long Island parishes of Melville and Garden City.

The New York State Police, Genesee County Sheriff's Office, and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating.
