Learn how to watch the Season three premiere of ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ – syracuse.com

Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 starts streaming today, Oct. 15, on CBS All Access. You can also watch the acclaimed spinoff of the iconic sci-fi series on FuboTV.

The first two seasons of Discovery were set a decade before the original Star Trek series, but as the new season begins, the U.S.S. Discovery crew drop out of a wormhole and find themselves 930 years in the future — in the year 3188. (For noninitiates, that’s the furthest into the future that any Trek series has been set.) They soon learn that a sinister event dubbed “The Burn” has all but destroyed the Federation. As the season progresses, they must unravel the mystery of what happened — and why — to regain hope for the Federation.

Joining the cast is British actor David Ajala as charismatic newcomer Cleveland “Book” Booker, who boasts an equally charismatic feline companion named Grudge. Returning stars include Sonequa Martin-Green as Commander Michael Burnham and Michelle Yeoh as Captain Philippa Georgiou.
